An Important Note Regarding Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre is a production class at GBHS, meaning that you must be enrolled in the 4th period spring course to be in the cast of Shrek. Please do not make a schedule change prior to auditions – if you are cast in the show, counselors will help make the appropriate changes. It is your responsibility to know your schedule and its flexibility, and being cast in the show does not guarantee a schedule change from administration. Please do not audition if you can’t afford to drop one of your currently enrolled classes.
Additionally, being enrolled in the class prior to auditions does not guarantee you role in Shrek.

Rehearsals and Performances:
Almost all rehearsal will be in class. Exceptions are:
The evenings of: April 24, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, May 1, 2, 8, 9, 10
There will also be a matinee performance on May 10.

The production staff includes:
Kyle Holmes – Director
David Taylor – Musical Director
Megan Cooper – Assistant Musical Director
Desiree Milburn – Choreographer
Lynn Lewis – Conductor
Steve Givens – Audio Engineer

Casting Information
The cast of Shrek the Musical will range from 35-45 students. Many students will be double cast as several roles (i.e. a fairytale creature and a Duloc guard) to ensure that class time is fully utilized for each student.
